Every guide is tempted to fill holes with confident sentences. We decided early that this one would not. Here is the list of things we looked for, did not find in an official source on 31 October 2026, and therefore do not state as fact anywhere on the site.
?Is breakfast included? Not listed by the hotel
No room sheet mentions breakfast. Google's place card shows a breakfast icon, but that is Google's summary. We assume it is not included and say so; if you need it, ask in your request.
?How many rooms of each type?Only the total, 116, is published
The operator lists 116 rooms; an older encyclopedia entry says 100, which was the planned figure in 2018. The split between Standard Two Queen, King Accessible and King Suite is not published anywhere we could find.
?Is there a pool? Not on the hotel's page
General house rules shared by the operator's hotels mention pools and hot tubs, but they cover every property. For this hotel we found none, so we say none is listed.
?When is Water's Edge open?Hours sit behind a widget
The operator shows restaurant hours through a script we could not read reliably. We publish the buffet hours, which appear in plain text, and send you to the operator's page for the rest.
?How many reviews are behind the scores?Google did not show the counts
We saw 4.3 for the hotel and 3.8 for the casino on Google Maps, but the public view did not display the number of reviews. We print the scores with the date and leave the count blank rather than guess.
?How exactly is a two-pet stay charged?Per pet or per room, unclear
The pet policy names a $49 nightly fee and a $49 one-time cleaning fee, and allows two pets, but does not say whether fees double with the second animal. We ask before quoting.
?Which side of the building is quieter? No source at all
Rooms face the casino or the garden. We have an instinct, not a measurement, and the room pages say so.
?Are there meeting rooms for 15 or for 20?Two official pages disagree
The hotel page says up to 15; the destination page names the Crane Room and the Eagle Room for up to 20 each. We print both and suggest planning for 15.
Why publish a list like this?
Because it saves you a disappointment. If breakfast or a pool would decide your weekend, you now know to ask before booking. And it keeps us honest: when one of these gaps is filled by an official source, we will update the guide pages and this list, with the new date.
Can you help?
If you have an official source for any of these, a page from the hotel or the operator, send it to hello@scugogislandescape.com. We do not take anecdotes as facts, but a link to a published page is exactly what we need.
