Where does the money come from?
From room requests. When you send a request through our form and it becomes a confirmed stay, the hotel or the booking partner that completes the reservation pays us a commission. That is the only income the site is built on.
Do we pay more because of it?
No. The commission comes out of the hotel's or the partner's side of the booking, not from an extra charge to you. If we find that booking directly with the hotel is better for you, we will tell you, even though we then earn nothing.
What is not connected?

- Not connected. Our links to the hotel go to its official page without tracking codes.

- None. No business on this site paid to be mentioned.

- Never. We do not publish reviews written for payment, and we do not sell a better verdict.

- Not sold. Request details go only to the hotel or partner completing your booking.
If any of that changes, for example if we join an affiliate programme one day, this page will say so before the first link goes up, and the links themselves will be marked.
Does the commission change what we write?
We have tried to make sure it cannot. Our verdict says plainly that the hotel lists no pool or spa, that a car is close to essential and that children cannot enter the 19+ areas. Those are reasons some readers will not book, and we print them anyway. The facts on every page come with sources, so you can check us.
Are we connected to the hotel?
No. We are not owned by, run by or paid by Great Canadian Entertainment, the casino operator, or by the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation. The only relationship is the commercial one described above, booking by booking.
